Tea Dance Tap Show

Tap About Town has adapted an interactive dance show to suit care home residents and those living in retirement villages and independent living facilities. A much loved entertainer who brings joy and happiness to the residents she entertains. Katie has experience working as a carer and therefore understands the importance of song choice, interaction and how music and dance can bring residents alive! Tap About Town's entertainment is nostalgic and she hopes to bring back lovely memories from their dancing days and to share her passion of dance with her audience.

The show includes tap dancing, rock and roll, lyrical, sing -alongs and much more! The music is from the 1940's, 50's & 60's and she performs to some iconic musicals such a Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret.

Royal Variety Brinsworth House

Tap About Town is a regular entertainer at The Royal Variety Brinsworth House (Home for retired entertainment professionals) and is very proud of the work she does for the Royal Variety Charity. Katie just loves to entertain the Old Pros and to hear all the incredible stories of their time spent in the entertainment industry. One of the residents was part of the original Bluebell Girls (a renowed cabaret dance troupe) and another is a former Flamenco dancer who toured the world, it is such an honour for Katie to help them relive their performing days!

"I just wanted to send you a quick message to say how wonderful you were today performing for the residents at the nursing home.

When I arrived my Nan was very upset and tearful and by the time I left she was beaming.

My heart literally could have burst seeing her tapping her toes and waving her flag while smiling and singing.

You put on amazing show and I can’t tell you how grateful I am that for a brief period of time she forgot her sadness and was enjoying herself like the old her.

A huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. Wendy xx"
