Katie who performs under the name 'Tap About Town' is a professional dancer graduating from Italia Conti School of Performing Arts and specialising in Broadway tap dance. A vibrant entertainer whose vintage style and routines are heavily influenced by legends such as Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Eleanor Powell and Ann Miller. Classically trained in ballet, tap, modern and jazz from a young age, her performances draw upon a host of artistic dance styles and are suitable for a wide range of venues from intimate cabaret clubs to large music halls. Her dynamic and innovative routines along with her sparkling and infectious personality are sure to leave you feeling uplifted and with your toes tapping! Katie offers a unique act that draws inspiration from iconic movies and musicals to create much loved characters. From a tap dancing waitress to Charlie Chaplin, Katie does it all! Whatever your event, large or small, let this showgirl bring the magic of theatre to you!

Katie's passion for tap dance started when she was 5 years old, she enjoyed creating rhythm's and found it came very naturally to her. After seeing the musical Hot Shoe Shuffle, tap soon became her favourite style of dance. Her love of the theatre also started when she attended The Young Set Theatre School run by Babette Langford where she appeared in many shows and pantomimes in London. After a year of graduating from stage school, Katie decided to move to Australia for a few years where her performing took a back seat as she pursued a different career path. Her passion for performing never left her and after moving back to the UK, Katie decided it was time to dust off her tap shoes and start performing again. Katie is very proud of the business she has built entertaining in care homes and has since gone on to perform at a wide variety of events around the UK and even spent a season entertaining the crowds at the famous Covent Garden.
